At 6:30 AM, we will pick you up from your hotel in our bus and begin our visit to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. About 40 minutes north of Cusco, we will arrive at the archaeological center of Chinchero, a living town that still preserves the original Inca layout and is located in an important agricultural area. The colonial-era church and tower were built upon Inca temple foundations. Local artisans offer handmade textiles using ancestral techniques. After our visit, we will continue by bus to Moray, a circular system of agricultural terraces built by taking advantage of natural depressions in the land. These terraces create microclimates and were used for experimental purposes such as plant domestication, acclimatization, hybridization, and other agricultural studies.

Next, we will visit the Maras salt mines, which have been in use since pre-Inca times. There are over 3,000 shallow salt pools, owned by approximately 380 families. The saltwater comes from natural springs that filter from the mountain known as Qoripukiu (Golden Spring). After this visit, we will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch in Urubamba, prepared with fresh ingredients from the Sacred Valley. After lunch, we will continue our journey by bus for 30 minutes to the archaeological center of Ollantaytambo, a site that was continuously occupied over time. During the Inca era, Ollantaytambo served as a multifunctional town, acting as an administrative, military, social, and economic center, as well as a checkpoint for access to different ecological zones.

Later, we will board the train from Ollantaytambo station to Machu Picchu Pueblo.
Upon arrival at Machu Picchu Pueblo, our team will be waiting to welcome you and transfer you immediately to your hotel.
