The Koricancha, with its perfectly designed architecture and its sacred golden walls, is a testament to the deep reverence the Incas had for the sun, their most revered deity.
Beyond the city of Cusco, travelers will explore Sacsayhuamán, a massive fortress that still amazes with the perfection of its stones and its unbreakable construction. In the surrounding area, the Qenqo complex offers a mystical atmosphere, as it was a ceremonial center dedicated to sacred rituals, while Pucapucara, with its reddish rocks illuminated by the twilight light, evokes a sense of fortitude and defense where the Incas once protected their territory. Finally, the sanctuary of Tambomachay, with its flowing springs and channels, connects visitors to the Inca reverence for water, a vital resource for life.
