This full-day tour combines breathtaking landscapes, a thrilling ATV ride, and close encounters with the rich Andean culture. After a scenic drive through the southern valley of Cusco, enjoy a delicious breakfast in Cusipata before heading toward the high-altitude community of Kayrahuire Alto. From there, you’ll gear up for a guided ATV journey with stunning views of the snow-capped Apu Ausangate along the way.

A short hike will take you to the vibrant colors of the Rainbow Mountain, where you’ll have time to explore and take in the majestic scenery. This tour is the perfect combination of adrenaline, culture, and nature.

ATV Tour Rainbow Mountain 2025 Summary

04:00–06:30 am – Hotel pick-up from the historic center of Cusco.

Drive to Cusipata for breakfast (1h 30min).

Continue to Kayrahuire Alto (4450 m.a.s.l.).

ATV instructions and short practice session.

ATV ride to Rainbow Mountain (50–60 min round trip).

Short hike (3–5 min) to the summit of Rainbow Mountain.

Explore and enjoy the views (approx. 40 min).

Return by ATV and transfer to Cusipata for lunch.

Drive back to Cusco (approx. 1h 30min).

Detailed Itinerary: Vinicunca on ATV

Day 1: Tour Full Day ATV Vinicunca

04:00am–04:30am or 6:00am–6:30am: We will pick you up from your hotel around the historic center of Cusco and head south of the city for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to the district of Cusipata, where a delicious breakfast will be served.

We will then continue along a dirt road until we reach the private property of Kayrahuire Alto – Bus Station (4450 m.a.s.l.), where we will get ready to start the adventure. Tourists will receive prior instruction from the guide on how to handle and operate the ATVs, with the chance to practice in a designated area. (Please note: there is an exclusive route for our vehicles.)

The ATV ride will last approximately 50 minutes to 1 hour (round trip – NO RACING), during which we’ll enjoy beautiful landscapes, the view of the majestic and imposing Ausangate Snow-Capped Mountain, and encounter locals in traditional attire.

We will then arrive just a few minutes away from the stunning Rainbow Mountain, where we’ll leave the ATVs and walk for 3 to 5 minutes to reach the natural attraction. You’ll have about 40 minutes to explore and enjoy the view.

Afterward, we’ll descend on ATVs for another 30 minutes to the car parking area, board our transport, and return to Cusipata for lunch. Finally, we’ll travel back to the city of Cusco, approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes away.
